Justin Bartha, 31, a star of this year’s comedy hit The Hangover is replacing T.R. Knight in the Broadway show Lend Me a Tenor (a non-musical play).  It opens in New York City on March 11, 2010. 

The play is about a calamitous assistant in a Cleveland opera house in the 1930′s that has to step in as tha star of the show in Othello. Bartha will be  along side actors such as Anthony LaPaglia and Tony Shalhoub.

After spending a wonderful Christmas with his children and ex-wife Jon Gosselin Returned home only to find that his NYC apartment had been ransacked.

Gosselin’s lawyer stated,  “[He] called me this afternoon . . . when he entered his apartment in Manhattan and was horrified, disheartened and saddened to observe the devastation of his furniture, clothing and personal belongings, which were apparently slashed with a butcher knife by a very troubled and sick perpetrator, Jon immediately contacted me and facilitated the able assistance of the New York City Police Department who immediately dispatched an experienced detective to Jon’s apartment.”

Not only was his apartment destroyed but  according to his lawyer he also found a note carved into his wooden dresser.  Most of his things were stolen including his television, CD player, coffee maker, a Nintendo Wii game and dishes, pots, pans and most of everything remaining  was slashed.

 Heller concluded, “The greatest damage from this vicious, mean spirited and heartless crime was perpetrated not on Jon’s property and possessions, but on Jon Gosselin himself, who experienced a traumatic, emotional, roller coast ride having just shared a joyful family gathering with his children during their Christmas.”

Friday,  Charlie Sheen was released from jail after facing domestic violence charges that same morning.

The victim,  Brook Mueller, thought to be his wife, was not taken to the hospital.  Police had received a 911 call regarding a domestic violence situation earlier in the day.  Once the Police got to 320 West Hallam St.  in Aspen,  Sheen,  who is 44, was arrested.

At 11:20 a.m. Sheen was booked for second-degree assult and menacing criminal mischief  for the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Department in Aspen, Colorado.  The Two and a Half men  star posted a $8,500 bond that evening and was released at 7 p.m.  Sheen’s court date is Feb. 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.

Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher of the Ottawa Senators are now engaged! Underwood was spotted showing off he gorgeous engagement ring Monday night cheering on her fiance’ at his game. Her HUGE ring is a flawless center stone yellow diamond, that was designed especially for Underwood by her jeweler Johnathon Arndt, who said “This ring is a symbol of love from Mike Fisher to Carrie Underwood,” and he wished them as a couple congratulations.

The first official trailer for Sex and the City 2 was released on the Internet this week.   In the opening scene of the trailor The girls Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda are in their normal life in New York, dressing all crazy, going out, calling cabs ( and from the looks of it Empire State of Mind is their new theme song…)  when Carrie starts in with the monologue “It’s been two years, and in two years, amazing things can happen. Things you thought would never happen in a million years. And just when you think you’ve seen it all, it hits you. You haven’t seen anything yet.”  then BOOM the girls or in Morocco, yes you read (and saw) right,  riding camels in the desert.  “Sometimes, you just have to get away with the girls,” Carrie finishes.  The movie opens May 28, 2010

Tyler’s bandmates were extremely concerned for his well-being after the incodent of him falling off the stage during a concert in August and broke his shoulder.

In a statement released by POEPLE Tyler admits “With the help of my family and team of medical professionals, I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio with my bandmates Joe Perry, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford”
